Test Scores

Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS)

We administer IOWA Assessment to all students in grades 2nd-8th grade in October every year. The IOWA Assessments are nationally norm-referenced, which means that school results are compared with other schools who took the same test nationally. This data is used to determine gaps in learning to improve instruction for the year going forward.

These results show the grade level equivalent in each category. The grade level equivalent is a decimal number that refers to the grade level and month. For example, if you look at the Complete Composite score for 3rd grade, our 3rd graders score at the 4th grade, 1st month level. Since the tests are given at the beginning of the school year, any score at or above grade level is considered on target. Our students consistenly score at or above grade level in all subject areas.
