Our Faith
Faith is an important component at Yuma Lutheran School.
As a Christian school, the mission of Yuma Lutheran is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with everyone. All students are welcomed regardless of faith background. As representatives of Christ Lutheran Church, the faculty and staff work in partnership with the school families to nurture the spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth of our children. This quality, Christ-centered ministry promotes Christian love and mutual respect, building responsible citizens for both God’s Kingdom and the world.
Yuma Lutheran School believes that our faith is a gift from God, and we have the opportunity to express our faith in several ways. Every morning before school, our faculty and staff meet together for a devotion to start the day. Each class has a morning devotion and prayer time as well. All grade levels have Religion Class or Jesus Time in which they learn about the Christian faith from a Lutheran perspective. In addition, our entire school meets together on Wednesday mornings for chapel. We encourage family and friends to worship with us during chapel.
